Valve announces price hikes of up to €240 for the Steam Deck
, by Thibaut
Those looking to get a Steam Deck are being hit hard by a massive price increase, and it's effective immediately.
The 512 GB Steam Deck OLED has gone from €569 / $549 to €779 / $789 (+€210 / +$240). Meanwhile, the 1 TB version now sells for €919 / $949 instead of the previous €679 / $649 (+€240 / +$300). It’s important to note that the power adapter is not included.
Valve cites "rising memory and storage costs" to justify these new prices, which "reflect the current state of component costs and other global logistical challenges across the industry as a whole".
