The lead actor in The Expanse: Osiris Reborn is being recast following criticism from players

Users had the opportunity to test The Expanse: Osiris Reborn during a beta some time ago. This gave Owlcat Games the chance to gather valuable feedback ahead of the game’s planned launch in the second quarter of 2027.

Among the criticisms raised during this test, one was directed at the male lead character. Some strongly expressed their dislike of the protagonist’s voice, and since dialogue is a very important aspect of a narrative action-RPG, the studio was quick to respond.

Thus, the voice actor for the hero will be replaced. The announcement was made via a press release.

"While the voice actor for the male protagonist and J put in a lot of good work, they felt less expressive than we wanted. Because of this, we are changing the voices of the male protagonist and J."

In addition, the developers will also be reworking the characters’ facial animations and body movements. Some conversations will also be modified to make the NPCs’ reactions more natural and believable. Finally, the cover system will be refined.
