GameStop is an American company specializing in the sale of video games and electronic equipment. It is also known for owning the Micromania gaming store chain, which it will soon be selling.

In an article published by the Wall Street Journal, we learn that GameStop is reportedly preparing a bid to acquire eBay, the world-renowned e-commerce website. GameStop has reportedly been accumulating shares of eBay, which has a market capitalization of $45 billion. It should be noted that the gaming company itself is valued at approximately $11 billion.

The offer could be submitted by the end of the month. If rejected, Ryan Cohen, GameStop’s CEO, is reportedly considering bypassing eBay’s management to appeal directly to shareholders.
