Electronic Arts restructures and creates two entities
, by Thibaut
Major changes are taking place at the American publisher this week. This will, however, have no impact on gamers or even on projects currently in development. To put it simply, Electronic Arts has restructured and is now divided into two organizations.
On the one hand, we have EA Entertainment, headed by Laura Miele, and on the other EA Sports. The aim of this reorganization is "to accelerate our business, drive growth, and deliver long-term value for our people, our players and our communities", according to Electronic Arts CEO Andrew Wilson.
In terms of roles, Respawn co-founder Vince Zampella is now in charge of the Apex Legends, Star Wars and Battlefield licenses, Samantha Ryan is in charge of the Sims division and single-player experiences, Jeff Karp is in charge of the mobile section and Cam Weber keeps his position as head of EA Sports.
