The physical editions of Crimson Desert won't be playable before March 19

Before the release of a highly anticipated video game, it is not uncommon to see physical copies circulating before the launch date, which often leads to spoilers being shared online by unscrupulous internet users.

Pearl Abyss clearly intends to combat this phenomenon by imposing a restriction on Crimson Desert. Those who get the disc in advance will simply not be able to play. A message will appear indicating that they will have to wait until March 19, 2026, to begin the fight to protect the continent of Pywel.

Furthermore, it is clearly stated on the game box that content must be downloaded in order to play. It would therefore appear that an internet connection is required to start playing.
