After leaving Tango Gameworks (The Evil Within, Hi-Fi RUSH) in 2023, Shinji Mikami ended up founding a new studio. The father of Resident Evil is now working at Unbound Games.
The dev's website reveals that it's working on an AAA project based on a new franchise for PS5, Xbox Series, and PC. The title in question will run on Unreal Engine 5.
Unbound also plans to work on smaller-scale games at the same time. The studio currently has around 50 employees and aims to reach 150 in the coming months. The staff has worked on renowned titles such as Silent Hill, Resident Evil, and Shadow of the Colossus in the past.
