Hotel Barcelona has undergone a major overhaul

Studio White Owls has rolled out quite the big update for Hotel Barcelona. The 2.5D hack ‘n’ slash roguelike created by Suda 51 and Hidetaka Swery65 Suehiro has received a major patch that feels like a complete overhaul.

Movement is now faster, recovery after combat is shorter, and parries have become central to combat. The dodge system has been redesigned and enemies have a longer reaction time. Multiplayer has also been rebalanced. The starting experience is now clearer and more fluid.

The press release states that this is "a structural improvement to the gaming experience," and there's some additional content included too.
