A split-screen co-op mode is in the cards for Pikmin 4

Although it may be a little low-key, Pikmin 4 is indeed the next big Nintendo Switch exclusive. The game will land on July 21, and will offer various features in addition to its single-player campaign.

Indeed, as a Japanese download card attests, the fourth entry in the franchise will be playable by two in cooperative, split-screen style. In this "Battle" mode, the second player will support the first by firing through a sight. More anecdotally, it seems it will be possible to enter houses and collect various treasures in the course of the adventure.
