Shift Up (Stellar Blade) will strengthen its self-publishing capabilities

Building on the success of its recent productions, Shift Up intends to support its internal productions through self-publishing. This new strategy is mentioned in several job offers published by the South Korean studio.

Shift Up wants to build on the excellent commercial performance of Stellar Blade and Goddess of Victory: NIKKE to develop its self-publishing capabilities. This will also reinforce the company's recent international growth.

"Shift Up is preparing for a new leap forward in the global market, beyond the worldwide success of Goddess of Victory: NIKKE and Stellar Blade. We aim to expand our self-publishing capabilities to support internally developed titles across consoles and PC."

While Project Spirits, Shift Up's upcoming game, is being published by Level Infinite (a subsidiary of Tencent), it would not be surprising to see Stellar Blade 2 published directly by the developer. This sequel could then be launched on all platforms.
