League of Legends could introduce voice chat for the whole team soon

A major change is likely coming to the social aspect of League of Legends. Riot Games will soon be rolling out a revamped voice chat feature.

Currently, only players who know each other and are grouped together can chat in real time in LOL. In the near future, it will be possible to chat with all users thanks to a global voice chat feature. Data miners have discovered that one button will allow players to chat only with their friends, and another will allow them to chat with the entire team. This will help prevent users who join the group during a game from feeling isolated.

Of course, this feature also raises concerns given the proven toxicity of the League of Legends community. Riot Games will need to put a lot of work into moderation.
