Microsoft studios to stop developing Xbox One games once and for all
, by Thibaut
Seems that the days of cross-gen games are over at Microsoft. The American giant will no longer be developing titles designed for the Xbox One generation, Matt Booty, head of Xbox Game Studios, has confirmed.
During the interview, he clarifies that his teams have definitely moved on to the ninth generation of consoles. Booty adds, however, that Xbox One gamers will still be able to access the latest exclusives with their console via the cloud. A new page has been turned at Microsoft.
Matt Booty also reiterated that the Xbox Series S, although less powerful than the Series X, will be supported in the long term.
