Dead Cells animated series in the works

Having sold over 10 million copies worldwide, Dead Cells is about to hit the small screen. Motion Twin Studios and Evil Empire have confirmed the production of an animated series based on the license.

Directed by Paris-based Bobbypills (already working on Captain Laserhawk with Ubisoft), the series will take us to a cursed island struck by a strange plague. The local king, in a futile attempt to save his subjects, administered a cure that turned the inhabitants into monsters. But prophecy has it that a hero with a flaming head will save them all... But the hero in question has no interest at all in the acursed island.

The series will premiere in France before arriving worldwide via ADN with ten seven-minute episodes.
