Peter Molyneux was very moved during the latest presentation of the Fable reboot

Playground Games will have the daunting task of restoring the reputation of the Fable franchise after several years gone. Expected in fall 2026, the reboot has already been endorsed by the franchise's creator.
In an interview with IGN, Peter Molyneux expressed his emotion upon seeing the new Fable trailer.
"When I saw the trailer, I was just incredibly emotional because I thought 'wow, this thing that we spent so much time on has got new life - it's going to continue and entertain and bring joy to people.'
That was my overall emotion, and I was incredibly proud that something that we created all those years ago has a life in today's world."
Molyneux also praised the game's premise, which involves seeing the entire family of the child we play as being turned to stone. However, he did offer one small criticism.
"The only slight negative that I have is that there was a slightly antiseptic feel about the world.
But then again, they have months and months to develop this character and almost this grimy atmosphere that we're looking for in this universe. I never imagined Fable as a clean world with sharp, well-defined angles. It's more chaotic than that."
