Build A Rocket Boy believes €1 million was spent to sabotage MindsEye
, by Thibaut
Since the disastrous launch of MindsEye, Build A Rocket Boy executives believe that malicious individuals sabotaged the project.
In a recent article, the Insider Gaming website provides additional details to this incredible story. Mark Gerhard, the company's co-CEO, explained that he had "caught the guys" responsible for this plot. They allegedly spent more than €1 million on a smear campaign against MindsEye.
These accusations were made by Gerhard during a meeting that took place at the end of January. Gerhard points the finger at the British company Ritual Network, which he believes is behind the smear campaign. He claims that Ritual Network paid several influencers, three journalists, and even Build A Rocket Boy employees to tarnish the game's reputation.
When contacted by Insider Gaming, Ritual Network naturally denied these allegations.
"Ritual Network is a creator support platform and is not involved in the matter you referenced. We are not aware of any legitimate legal action involving Ritual Network and have not been provided with any evidence supporting these claims. Any suggestion that Ritual Network is connected to these allegations is incorrect."
In another statement, the MindsEye studio said it had evidence in its possession and was prepared to take the matter to court. The article concludes by stating that the company's employees were monitored by their managers using enhanced cybersecurity software called "Teramind". This platform allows every action performed on a computer to be monitored. Gerhard defends this choice as a way to "see the IT team periodically try and improve our security measures."
