After adapting (or butchering) Resident Evil and Monster Hunter for the big screen, Paul W.S. Anderson will now direct the adaptation of The House Of The Dead.
According to an article in Deadline, SEGA has made the project one of its top priorities following the success of Sonic The Hedgehog at the box office. The goal is to make the feature film an immersive experience with "a story that unfolds in real time, but with a fresh take on the franchise".
To achieve this, the film's producers have called on Isabela Merced to play the lead role. The 24-year-old American actress recently starred as Dina in the series The Last of Us. She has also appeared in James Gunn's Superman and Alien: Romulus.
