Apex Legends will no longer be playable on Switch starting August 4, 2026

Respawn Entertainment has confirmed that Apex Legends will be discontinued on Nintendo Switch. Season 29 (arriving in May-June 2026) will be the final update for this version, with future seasons only being available on Switch 2.
The Switch version will remain playable until August 4, 2026 (Season 30). At that point, in-game purchases will obviously no longer be possible. Since progress is linked to the player's EA account, purchases and rewards will be automatically transferred to the Switch 2 version when it is downloaded.
