Ubisoft may have shelved Watch Dogs forever

With the completion of its restructuring, Ubisoft is shifting to a structure divided into five creative houses. Each has a specific function and its own franchises within the company. Unfortunately, one franchise has not found a place anywhere.
Indeed, Watch Dogs does not appear in the new organization. Furthermore, insider Tom Henderson stated in a podcast that the saga is now "completely dead". Thus, after Watch Dogs Legion was released in October 2020, the license is done.
