There has been further movement regarding Netflix's acquisition of Warner Bros. The SVOD giant wants to speed up the process by developing a new structure for its offer.
While the acquisition price remains firmly set at $82.7 billion, Netflix has opted for an all-cash transaction. This provides "greater certainty" and eliminates "market variability". which should reassure shareholders, who are now guaranteed to receive the promised amount.
In addition, this offer will speed up the pace of the transaction, as a vote to approve the acquisition can now take place by April 2026. It should be noted that Discovery Global is still not included in the agreement.
