Xbox, Nintendo, and PlayStation continue their fight for player safety
, by Thibaut
It is rare to see the three major manufacturers in the gaming industry join forces around a common goal. For several years now, Nintendo, PlayStation, and Xbox have been working hand in hand to bring greater safety to players.
Together, the three brands aim to "provide positive and enjoyable experiences for our entire community, with a particular focus on our youngest players". To achieve this, they are leveraging advanced technologies, community initiatives, and research findings.
To reach this goal, Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo have developed three main areas of focus. The first is prevention, mainly targeting parents. There are also partnerships with professional organizations, communities, and rating agencies, as well as investments in cutting-edge technologies.
Finally, responsibility is at the heart of the strategy, with the facilitation of reporting, appropriate sanctions, compliance with the laws of each country, and the publication of rules and requirements relating to the platforms.
