Crimson Desert will feature a map twice the size of Skyrim

Pearl Abyss was at the New Game+ Showcase for an interview about Crimson Desert. It was an opportunity to learn several new details about this open-world action-adventure title, which will be released on March 19, 2026, on PS5, Xbox Series, and PC.

Will Powers, Director of Public Relations at Pearl Abyss, said that the game's map is at least twice as large as that of Skyrim. It is also larger than that of Red Dead Redemption 2. This world is both passive and highly interactive. There are sky islands that are very important to the game's lore. We will find puzzles and different atmospheres each time.

In addition, players will be able to own their own homes and access a highly advanced crafting system, and activities such as cooking will also be included. Our character will be able to ride a bear, a raptor, or a dragon, and even pilot a mech. You can capture enemies and then hand them over to the authorities in town to earn rewards. Sadly, there's no romance planned at the time.
