The first major event of next year will be CES 2026, which will take place in Las Vegas from January 6 to 9. This trade show dedicated to new technologies will allow us to discover a whole range of products aimed at gamers.
Ahead of this event, LG Electronics has decided to reveal its new generation of Ultrawide monitors from the LG UltraGear evo range.
Among the models that will be presented at CES is the LG 52G930B. This 52-inch (132 cm) screen with a 21:9 aspect ratio has a 5K2K resolution (5120 x 2160 pixels) and a refresh rate of 240 Hz. It also features a 1000R curvature to enhance user immersion and a G2G response time of 1 ms. In terms of connectivity, it has a DisplayPort 2.1 (UHBR20), two HDMI 2.1 ports, and a USB Type-C port (with DP Alt mode and 90 W power supply).
Now let's move on to the UltraGear 39GX950B screen, which comes in the form of a 39-inch (99 cm) 21:9 OLED panel with a 1500R curvature, a G2G response time of 0.03 ms, and a resolution that once again aims for 5K2K. The refresh rate is set at 165 Hz. A dual 330 Hz mode is available, but it is important to note that it will reduce the resolution to 2560 x 1080 pixels on certain games. This model is VESA DisplayHDR 500 True Black certified and offers 99.5% DCI-P3 coverage for a wide color gamut. A UHBR20-compatible DisplayPort 2.1 is included, along with two HDMI 2.1 ports and a USB Type-C port (with DP Alt mode and 90W power delivery).
Finally, the third and last screen is the LG UltraGear 27GM950B. This is the first 5K monitor equipped with the new MiniLED technology. Its 27-inch panel offers a versatile gaming experience with a 165Hz mode in 5K and another in 330Hz QHD. This model benefits from optimized blooming management, a 1ms response time, and VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certification offering a maximum brightness of 1,250 nits.
These two latest models feature an AI solution that enables 5K upscaling and scene and sound optimization to enhance the gaming experience.
Of course, LG will have to provide more information, such as prices and release dates, at CES 2026.
