This weekend, the biggest Tetris game ever took place in Dubai. It was made possible by more than 2,000 drones, synchronized against the city skyline.
It took place during the Red Bull Tetris World Final, where the finalists controlled the game live via an app, transforming the famous puzzle into a large-scale playable experience in the airspace.
The original creator of Tetris, Alexey Pajitnov, said in a statement:
"When I created Tetris in 1984, I never imagined it would become the global cultural icon it is today, continuing to evolve in new and exciting ways. One of my biggest dreams has been to see it played with drones, so I'm thrilled to see that dream come to life."
