Hytale will not be released on Steam to avoid negative reviews

Hytale has made it into the news several times over the past few weeks, and now we've learnt that the game won't be available on Steam when it releases next January. Hypixel Studios, the devs, want to avoid negative reviews during early access. In fact, they themselves have stated that early access will not be released in exceptional condition.

We also learn that there will be console versions in the future, but that only the PC will host the early access period. Launching on consoles will require a lot of work, and they want to "focus on creating a good game first."

The prices of the different editions have also been revealed recently, starting at $19.99 for the basic version. The title will be available on January 13, 2025.
