The former Splinter Cell Remake director is back on the project

The development of the Splinter Cell remake seems to be complicated, to say the least. The project has lost its director several times, with a job offer looking for a new one posted last October.

Finally, David Grivel, who already held the same position from November 2021 to October 2022 and from May to December 2024, resumed his role as director of the game last week. He announced the news himself on LinkedIn.

"Today, I am very, VERY happy to announce that I am returning to Ubisoft Toronto as director on the Splinter Cell remake!

A very special team and project for me."

Back in 2024, Insider Gaming said that Ubisoft was aiming for a 2026 release date for the title.
