Everwild, Rare's next game, said to be similar to Viva Piñata

Announced at the very end of 2019, then shown again in July 2020, Everwild has since disappeared into thin air. The next project from the creators of Sea of Thieves seems to be going through a somewhat difficult development. But at the Xbox Games Showcase on June 11, we could very well see this mysterious game again.

While Everwild is expected to offer a large-scale multiplayer experience, the actual concept of the title remains unknown for the time being. However, according to journalist Andy Robinson, it's not likely to be a survival game, as the first trailers suggested. On the contrary, it's more likely to be a management game a la Viva Piñata (also by Rare).

Forgotten to the general public, Viva Piñata required players to look after a plot of land. You had to plough, plant or water seedlings to attract Piñatas, lovable stuffed animals that came in a variety of shapes. So, perhaps Everwild will be more in that style than something more mature.
