The Horizon Steel Frontiers devs use lots of gen-AI

Among the big announcements of the week, we mustn't forget Horizon Steel Frontiers. This MMORPG developed by NCSOFT for PC and mobile has made a strong impression thanks to its impressive visuals for a free-to-play game.

In an interview, the developers discussed their use of generative AI in this highly ambitious project. Unsurprisingly, the studio is leveraging this technology to create various elements.

For example, it is used "to determine the optimal number of players to avoid playing with a large number of users". Overall, NCSOFT says it has largely integrated AI into the development of its games. It is used for programming and even artistic creation. And if we are to believe this interview, the team in charge of Horizon Steel Frontiers is making the most use of generative artificial intelligence.
