Red Dead Redemption 2 is still planned for current generation consoles

Rockstar Games has muddied the waters with the announcement of the [port of Red Dead Redemption] (https://news.instant-gaming.com/en/articles/16056-rockstar-confirms-red-dead-redemption-on-ps5-xbox-series-switch-2-and-mobile-for-december-2) to PS5, Xbox Series, and Switch 2. After all, fans were expecting the second entry to receive that treatment.

According to insider NateTheHate, Red Dead Redemption 2 will also be remastered for these consoles. In early 2025, he says he was informed that the game would be released a few months after the launch of the Switch 2. However, in a message posted on X, he points out that dates are subject to change. The postponement of GTA VI to November 19, 2026, is sad proof of this.
