Obsidian plans to work on Avowed 2 but not The Outer Worlds 3

Released in late October on consoles and PC, The Outer Worlds 2 may not get a sequel. This rumor comes from Chris Avellone, a former Obsidian developer who worked on Fallout: New Vegas and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II - The Sith Lords.

According to his sources, the studio has no plans to develop The Outer Worlds 3 at this time. However, the second entry is still getting DLC. What's more, Obsidian is now expected to focus on Avowed 2.

These rumors should obviously be taken with a grain of salt until we have an official announcements on the matter.
