Introducing the Deck HD, a better screen for your Steam Deck
, by Thibaut
The Steam Deck has taken over the world, becoming the benchmark handheld gaming PC for many gamers. Noticing Valve's success, the competition has started copying the Deck formula without delay. One such copy is the Rog Ally from Asus, which has managed to find a moderate success because both a better performance and a reasonable price.
And so today we learn that FX Technology is working on a better screen for the Steam Deck by the name of Deck HD. This panel will bring a whole host of improvements, such as a definition increase from the base 1280 x 800 pixels to 1920 x 1200.
However, the Deck HD retains the 7-inch diagonal and 60 Hz refresh rate, but with some additions like an enhanced color gamut for “richer hues and deeper contrasts”, as well as an anti-glare glass.
Sadly, we don’t know the price or when will the new screen be available at the moment.
