Dragon’s Dogma 2 won’t have multiplayer

Capcom just couldn’t miss the PlayStation Showcase. And while the show was seemingly a disappointment, there were a few announcements that made us very happy. Such was the case for Dragon’s Dogma 2.
According to the first information from the Japanese publisher, the sequel will build from the foundations of the first game, which had some pretty interesting mechanics, such as the Pawn system. The Pawn system allowed the player to customize an NCP to suit our needs. That npc followed our hero through his journey. In turn, you could also recruit several pawns from another players, each with specific abilities and missions. The system resembled a kind of cooperative mode, albeit an asynchronous one.
Therefore, many gamers expected Capcom to introduce a true co-op mode in Dragon’s Dogma 2. Alas, our prayers have gotten no response, as per the PSN listing, the game is a single player action-RPG.
