Sony said to be preparing another Showcase this year… And Nintendo too?

Let’s be honest, the latest Showcase wasn’t exactly what we all expected. It didn’t meet our expectations like, at all. Sure, there were some surprises like Marvel’s Spider-man 2 or Alan Wake 2. Yeah, those did make an impression. But Sony’s latest focus on multiplayer and GAAS leaves a lot to be desired. And what about Playstation Studios, huh?
But if we are to give any credit to some insiders and other specialized videogame journalists, there may be a pretty good reason for this. Several generally well-informed key figures, such as Colin Moriarty of Last Stand Media and Ethan Gach of Kotaku, claim that another Showcase (or at least a State of Play) is taking place before the end of the year. This could be a great opportunity to bring out the big guns, such as Naughty Dog, Santa Monica Studios or even Kojima Productions.
What’s more, Gach adds in passing that Nintendo won’t be quiet the following weeks or months to come.
