The new RPG Digimon Story Time Stranger gets some good reviews

After a long wait for the fans of the franchise, Digimon Story Time Stranger will finally be released on October 3, 2025, on PS5, Xbox Series, and PC. As always, the gaming press has published its reviews ahead of release to give us its impressions of this RPG.
The Metacritic average is currently 79% on PS5 (36 reviews) and also 79% on PC (11 reviews). The OpenCritic score is slightly better, reaching 82% with 36 reviews. This could of course change in the coming hours.
Among the positives of Digimon Story: Stranger are varied gameplay, a very good length, good combat animations, and well-modeled Digimon.
On the downside, the environments are rather lacking in detail, the soundtrack is uninspired, and the overall concept is fairly basic.
