Sony announces a mandatory update for Ghost of Yōtei at launch

Only a few hours left to wait before Ghost of Yōtei releases this Thursday, October 2, 2025. Sony has laid the groundwork by announcing an update that will be mandatory in order to play.

On IGN, the Japanese manufacturer detailed the features of patch 1.006. This patch is described as very important, as it improves many aspects of the game. For example, it will boost the game's overall performance and fix issues related to ray tracing and crashes.

Several adjustments have also been made to gameplay, combat balancing, and the camera. Animations, environments, and the interface have also been improved. Finally, it also comes with several new updates for the photo mode.
