Xbox Series prices will go up in the United States starting in October

Microsoft has just announced yet another price hike in the United States. The new prices will take effect on October 3, 2025. The manufacturer cites "changes in the macroeconomic environment" as the reason for its decision.

After an initial increase in May 2025, the company's consoles will see a further price hike. The Xbox Series S 512 GB will rise from $379 to $399, and the 1 TB version from $429.99 to $449.99. The Xbox Series X will increase from $599 to $649 and the Series X Digital from $549 to $599. Finally, the Xbox Series X 2TB will be priced at $799 instead of $729.

A Microsoft spokesperson issued a brief statement.

"We are navigating an incredibly dynamic environment right now. We’ve assessed the changing macroeconomic environment and addressed the applicable impacts."

The situation between the United States and China, where Xboxes are manufactured, is extremely tense with regard to customs duties.
