Dying Light: The Beast gets some fairly good reviews

After Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds earlier today, it's now Dying Light: The Beast's turn to be reviewed by the specialist press. Remember that Techland's game is available from today Thursday, September 18, 2025.

Let's start with the Metacritic average, which stands at 78% on PC (42 reviews). On OpenCritic, the score is slightly higher, provisionally standing at 82% (34 reviews). It's important to note that these results may change in the coming hours.

Reviews of Dying Light: The Beast mention the highly immersive Castor Woods region, the parkour that offers a great sense of freedom, the compelling coop dimension, and the nights that are as scary as ever. Add to that an estimated playtime of a good 20 hours for the main story.

As for the flaws, we can point to an overly classic story and formula, poor AI, the lack of crossplay, visual bugs, and a lack of dynamism during gunfights.
