Square Enix has decided to announce a new remake for the Dragon Quest franchise. Dragon Quest VII Reimagined has been confirmed for February 5, 2026 on PS5, Xbox Series, Switch, Switch 2, and PC.
Players will be able to dive back into this excellent RPG and its superb story, which was originally released in Japan in 2000. A remake was then made for the 3DS. This newly announced version will feature a brand new aesthetic, redesigned combat mechanics, and improved QoL features. The storyline has also been simplified to make it easier to understand.
