Lenovo defends the high price of the Legion Go 2, says its designed for "passionate" gamers

The Lenovo Legion Go 2 got announced at the IFA 2025, with prices starting at $1,100 in the US and €999 in Europe and rising to $1,350 for the Ryzen Z2 Extreme version.

This positioning is similar to that of laptops, which Lenovo justifies by its choice of high-end components: Ryzen Z2 APU, 8-inch 2K 144 Hz OLED screen, detachable controllers, and ergonomic chassis.

In an interview with PC Watch Japan, the brand explained that it is targeting passionate gamers who are willing to invest. This is a niche market that it considers essential for strengthening its image.
