MachineGames wants to do a Wolfenstein 3
, by Thibaut
After the disappointing Wolfenstein: Youngblood released in 2019, many thought that MachineGames was done with the franchise. However, it seems that a new title may soon be on the way.
In a documentary produced by Noclip, the head of the German studio clearly mentioned a third installment that will conclude the current trilogy, which consists of Wolfenstein: The New Order (2014) and Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus (2017).
"We always considered it to be a trilogy [Wolfenstein]. So this journey for BJ, even during the first few weeks at id (Software), when we designed New Order, we already had a plan for this character. What would happen in the second and what would happen in the third. So I think it's important to say that, because—at least, I hope—we're not done with Wolfenstein yet. We still have a story to tell."*
