Gearbox Software has revealed the post-launch roadmap for Borderlands 4

2K Games and Gearbox Software will have us dive into Borderlands 4 on September 12, 2025. But the launch will only be the beginning, as the game will get additional content with updates and DLC.

Starting in the fourth quarter of 2025, players will have free access to legendary weapons, cosmetic items, and a high-level boss. Bounty Pack 1 (included in the Deluxe and Super Deluxe editions) will feature new missions and bosses, legendary gear, a vehicle, and, of course, cosmetics.

During the first quarter of 2026, the type of content added will be quite similar, with the exception of a Story Pack called Mad Ellie and the Vault of the Damned. This paid DLC features a new area on the map, a new story, side missions, and a new Ark Hunter. Additional gear and cosmetics will round out the package.

Finally, a second Story Pack will arrive later. It will be accompanied by two other Bounty Packs and an invincible boss.
