NetEase is opening a new studio in Canada to develop an open-world game using Unreal Engine 5

A studio has recently emerged in our Canadian friends' territory. Bad Brain Games is a brand-new establishment located in Toronto and Montreal. Leading the studio is a certain Sean Crooks, who has notably worked as a producer on Watch Dogs: Legion. Several other former Ubisoft developers are said to have been recruited as well.

Bad Brain Games is wasting no time, as we learn that a high-budget game is already in development. It is described as a “bold new action-adventure franchise with a strong emphasis on storytelling.” The game will take place in an open-world environment and will utilize the power of Unreal Engine 5. The story will draw inspiration from 80s films with a touch of horror.
