According to an insider, the Steam Deck 2 is expected for 2028

The usually reliable insider KeplerL2 has made headlines on the Neogaf forum. He explained that Steam Deck 2 could be released in 2028. This is still a long way off, but it is consistent with statements made by Valve engineers, who explained that they were waiting for a real technological leap forward for portable consoles.
Such a leap does not yet seem within reach, despite the recent release of AMD's Z2 Extreme. In any case, this information is not official and, as always, should be taken with a grain of salt.
