Microsoft forces King to use AI on a daily basis

After being acquired by Microsoft as part of the record-breaking purchase of Activision Blizzard in 2023, King is not having a good time at the moment. The studio behind Candy Crush was hit hard by layoffs in July, with 200 people affected.
Now, Microsoft is imposing a very strict working method on King. Indeed, the website mobilegamer.biz reports that "every artist, designer, developer, and even management" must use generative AI on a daily basis. This applies to absolutely all tasks in general.
In 2024, Microsoft's goal was to achieve "70 to 80% daily use of AI". In 2025, that same goal is simply 100%. However, an internal source has stated that the use of AI is limited, as it is mainly confined to ChatGPT.
