The Splitgate 2 devs are begging players to give the game another chance

Despite a very aggressive marketing campaign, Splitgate 2 has ended up being a total flop! The blame lies with the media appearance of the CEO of 1047 Games at the Summer Game Fest in June and, above all, with the totally abusive microtransactions that plague the title.
So, last month, the studio announced the return of its FPS to beta to make some changes. The devs want to regain the trust of players after promising to "Make FPS Great Again".
On X, the official Splitgate 2 account goes so far as to beg players to give it a second chance. One user accused 1047 Games of burying its own game. The company responded: "Give us one last chance when we return." Other users responded to this comment by expressing their disappointment.
Splitgate 2 will have its work cut out for it to get back on track before its launch in 2026.
