The Resident Evil: Code Veronica Remake is getting treated as a big-budget title

While Resident Evil Requiem will keep fans of the franchise busy in 2026, Capcom is already working on the following title, including a remake of the highly acclaimed Resident Evil: Code Veronica.

Originally released in 2000 on Dreamcast and the following year on PS2, this game is likely to get treatment befitting its quality. Indeed, insider Dusk Golem revealed on X that the Japanese publisher considers Resident Evil: Code Veronica Remake to be a big-budget title.

"For what it's worth, from what I've heard several times now, Code Veronica Remake is not only being handled by the same people as RE:2 & RE:4, but it's being treated as a big-budget Resident Evil game in every sense of the word."

What's more, Resident Evil 0 is also rumored to be getting a remake.
