The Switch 2 version of Elden Ring suffers from big performance issues

Bandai Namco is offering attendees at Gamescom 2025 the chance to try Elden Ring Tarnished Edition on Switch 2. According to initial feedback, this version is visually very impressive.

Unfortunately, the game suffers from significant issues in terms of performance. The YouTube channel Nintendo Life reported that while the game is "very beautiful", it is also affected by slowdowns. On Switch 2, Elden Ring will not go above the 30 FPS mark. What's more, according to initial feedback, drops to 20 or even 15 FPS were observed in the playable demo at Gamescom.

It's therefore not hard to understand why Bandai Namco is prohibiting testers from capturing gameplay. Elden Ring Tarnished Edition is set to release this year on Switch 2.
