The PC performance improvements for Monster Hunter Wilds won't come until winter

While its commercial success is undeniable, Monster Hunter Wilds has been heavily criticized for its PC version, which suffers from serious performance issues. As a result, recent Steam reviews are currently "mostly negative".

Capcom has taken to the franchise's social media channels to detail its plans to fix these issues. Fans will need to be patient, as the improvements will mainly arrive this winter as part of the free update 4.

"To our hunters playing MHWilds on PC, we're committed to listening to your feedback and improving both performance and stability of the game. Although we will continue to implement gradual improvements in the weeks ahead, we are targeting Free Title Update 4 this winter to implement a multifaceted plan, including CPU and GPU related optimizations, followed by a second stage of mitigation measures afterwards. We'll share more information on the specifics in the future."
