This week's releases: from August 18 to 22, 2025

Gamescom will be hogging all the attention this week. So much so that very few new games will be released over the next seven days. Still, we have a few to check out.

Stick It to the Stickman

  • August 18, 2025 on PC (early access)

Let's start with a physics-based beat 'em up in which you have to defeat red “Stickmen” using your abilities. The goal is to rise to the top of the hierarchy by destroying the competition. All this takes place in extremely fast-paced 2D battles.

Caravanners: Co-op Open World Camping

  • August 18, 2025 on PC (early access)

Here, you have to design the caravan of your dreams and travel the world freely in it. The cooperative aspect allows you to set up camp with your friends and enjoy a vast open world in their company. There are numerous customization options available.

Sword of the Sea

  • August 19, 2025 on PS5 and PC (included in PlayStation Plus Extra)

The creators of the sumptuous ABZÛ are back with a brand new adventure in which we have to surf waves of sand and sparkling water. It is possible to perform quick moves and tricks while moving at high speed. Sumptuous graphics and a superb soundtrack are also on the agenda.

Shantae Advance: Risky Revolution

  • August 19, 2025 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, Switch and PC

This 2D platform game marks the grand return of Shantae, a heroine who made her debut in 2002. It has taken 20 years for this epic adventure to reach us! In addition to the single-player mode, this episode includes a Versus mode that can accommodate up to four players.

Delta Force

  • August 19, 2025 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S

Team Jade's free-to-play game is finally coming to consoles! This tactical shooter is coming to Sony and Microsoft consoles with all of its content already available on PC. The single-player campaign “Black Hawk Down” is also available via free DLC.

VOID/BREAKER

  • August 19, 2025 on PC (early access)

Let's move on to an adrenaline-fueled roguelite FPS in which we must face machines controlled by hostile AI. Mods are available to help us upgrade our weapons. The environment is also destructible.

Black Myth: Wukong

  • August 20, 2025 on Xbox Series X|S

After a year of waiting, Game Science's excellent action RPG is coming to Xbox. The content remains unchanged for this new edition, which will take advantage of Microsoft's hardware capabilities.

Herdling

  • August 21, 2025 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC

Make way for a relaxing title that focuses on exploration. The goal is to guide our strange beasts on a journey to the peaks. We will develop our breeding skills throughout the epic adventure. The story takes place in a fallen world and is told without any dialogue.

We end on a high note with this life sim with a few management touches. We are asked to direct our supermarket in a small town full of gossip. We can build an empire by making business deals. Short stories will also punctuate our progress.
