A remake of the first Rayman game was reportedly canceled in 2021

Last May, we learned that Ubisoft was working on a new Rayman game. It would be a AAA title that could very well be a remake.

Interestingly enough, such a project was already canceled in the past. According to a former developer at the French publisher (as reported by Rayman Together! on X), a remake of the first Rayman was canned in 2021. It was initially called Rayman: Forever, then The Story of Rayman.

While this project will unfortunately not see the light of day, Rayman is nevertheless expected to make a comeback soon.
