China has also given its approval for the acquisition of Activision Blizzard by Microsoft

The United Kingdom appears increasingly isolated following its opposition to Microsoft's acquisition of the Call of Duty publisher. Indeed, several other countries such as Ukraine, South Africa, and Japan have expressed their support for the merger. The European Commission also recently gave its green light.

Today, the Chinese antitrust regulator has approved the same acquisition without any required conditions. The American giant will not have to make any concessions to satisfy Chinese authorities. The sky seems to be clearing for Microsoft, who now awaits the verdict of the FTC in the United States.
