, by Thibaut
We might have thought that upgrades had almost become the norm in gaming. However, Square Enix seems to have forgot with Octopath Traveler 0.
Just announced, this entry will not fature a free or paid Switch 2 upgrade for those who go for the Switch copy. It will be necessary to purchase the correct version for your preferred machine from the outset. The Japanese publisher goes further by adding that it has no intention of ever offering such an upgrade.
Octopath Traveler 0 will be released on December 4, 2025, also on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series, and PC. In addition, note that the physical Switch 2 version will be sold in the form of a game card.
On all platforms, the standard edition will retail for $59.99. The collector's edition is priced at $229.99 with the physical game.
